Lucille A. Wisniewski
After a long and courageous battle with cancer the Lord called his ever faithful friend home. Lucille A. Wisniewski, 80, Wausau, died Friday, January 29, 2010 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born June 26, 1929 in Marathon, daughter of the late Leo and Manda (Linder) Seubert. On May 26, 1951, she married Florian Wisniewski at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2008.
Lucille's two greatest passions throughout her life were her deep religious faith and her family. She would attend catholic masses several times a week including out of town services when she traveled. She especially enjoyed being a homemaker, raising her three children of whom she was incredibly proud. In later life she took great pleasure in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lucille was legendary for her daily three mile walks, often taking one of her dogs along or "borrowing" one from a neighbor. Among her other hobbies she loved bowling, card playing and gardening. She will be deeply missed by a very large extended family and countless friends. Lucille was a member of the Elks Lodge, Wausau and the American Legion Auxiliary Montgomery Plant Post #10, Wausau.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie (Marc) Daniels, Wausau; two sons, Lonn (Teri) Wisniewski, Weston and Lee Wisniewski, Wausau; seven grandchildren, Tammy (Roger) Elliott, Madison, Jada (Greg) Taylor, Oregon, Jesse (Sarah) Daniels, Sussex, Shannon Daniels, Wausau, Amanda (Shaun) Rindt, Merrill, Rebecca Wisniewski, Baraboo and Lewis Wisniewski, Wausau; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eileen Gassner, Appleton and Anna Mae Susor, Menasha; one brother, Lloyd ( Beatrice) Seubert, Appleton; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Seubert, Appleton and her dear friend and neighbor, Charlotte Hagenbucher.
Besides her parents and husband, Florian, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Seubert; and two brothers-in-law, Arnold Gassner and Robert Susor.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Entombment will be in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
The family would like to especially thank Dr. Rezazadeh and staff who took great care of our mother in her final illness.
