Lucille E. Wiernasz

Lucille E. Wiernasz 85, Wausau, died Friday February 29, 2008 at Wellington Place, Wausau. She was born March 10, 1922, in Thorp, daughter of the late Ignatius and Elizabeth (Malinowski) Wojtkiewicz. On September 11, 1948, she married Bernard J. Wiernasz at St. Hedwig Catholic Church, Thorp. He preceded her in death in 1972. Lucille retired from the Wausau School District as an Educational Support Staff person. She was a member of the Catholic Women's Club and the Parish Council of Catholic Women at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Survivors include her sons, Michael (Delores) Wiernasz, Rhinelander, William Wiernasz, Wausau, a daughter, Elizabeth (Denny) Campbell, Kotzebue, Alaska, two grandchildren, Amy (Nathan) Nehmer and Jeremy (Kristy) Wiernasz, two great grandchildren, Carter and Natalie Wiernasz and one sister, Harriet White, Chicago, Ill. Besides her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by three sisters, Charlotte, Lillian and Betty and seven brothers, Joseph, Michael, Edward, Frank, William, Louis and Henry. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon Wednesday March 5, 2008 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Weds. From 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
