Lucille C. Milkowski

Lucille “Lucy” C. Milkowski, 103, of Wausau, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Wood Aven Health in Wausau.

She was born on May 29, 1921, in Athens, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Brodjeski) Kania.  Lucy was united in marriage to Edward Milkowski at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens.  In addition to caring for her family and raising children, she worked as an assembler at Connor Lumber Company.  After many years she retired from her position there.  She also was a lifelong member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and was a founding member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Wausau.

Lucy was known for her delicious homemade desserts, and those who knew her, knew her hair always had to look perfect!  While she will be deeply missed, we know she is with God and loved ones.

Survivors include her children, Caroline Schreiber (Knetter), Greg (Kathy) Milkowski, Mary (Scott) Lau, Dennis (Diane) Milkowski, and Ron (Marie) Kania; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; son, Richard; sisters, Ann and Dorothy; and brother, George.

A funeral Mass will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 700 West Bridge Street, Wausau, with Rev. Tom Lindner presiding.  Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. until the time of service, all at the church.  Entombment will follow in the Restlawn Memorial Chapel Mausoleum.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com.
