Lucille M. Meshke

Lucille M. Meshke 89, Wausau, died Friday, March 19, 2010 at North Central Health Care, Wausau, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born August 25, 1920 in Wittenberg, daughter of the late Alex and Louise (Surprise) Bricko. In February of 1945, she married Harold Meshke in Wittenberg. He preceded her in death in 1974. Lucille was a member of the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London and a member of the former St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. Among her many interests, she enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her friends at Sturgeon Bluff apartments and gardening. Survivors include, three sons, Harold Meshke Jr., New London, Bruce (Kathleen) Meshke, Hudson, Fla. and Richard Meshke, Florida; 16 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Harold Sr., she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Burns; one son-in-law, David Burns; one daughter-in-law, Florence Meshke; and four siblings, Chester, Isray, Arvel and Flos. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Deacon Bob Anderson will officiate.
