Lucille M. Kreuzer
92, Wausau, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Harmony Terrace Court, Wausau.
She was born February 23, 1918 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Joseph and Magdelina (Bertram) Dietzler. On August 10, 1940, she married George Kreuzer in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on August 3, 1989.
Lucille worked as a consultant for the former WXCO Radio Station for many years until her retirement. She was a longtime member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Circle of Joy. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed spending time with her family and was a wonderful cook and baker. Lucille had a great sense of humor and was a "mother to many".
Survivors include, three children, Nancy (Donavan) Van Sleet, Wausau, Bernie (Patricia) Kreuzer, Rib Mountain and John (Susan) Kreuzer, South Carolina; one daughter-in-law, Judith Kreuzer, Tomah; 12 grandchildren, Jason (special friend, Melinda) Van Sleet, Brenda (Otis) Clark, Bruce (Heather) Van Sleet, Douglas (Sara) Kreuzer, Steven (Thuy) Kreuzer, David (Missy) Kreuzer, Billy (special friend, Jean) Kreuzer, Timmy Kreuzer, Christine (Mike) Griswold, Matthew (Latisha) Kreuzer, Danny and Jennifer Kreuzer; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and one sister, Marina Thibodeau, Wausau.
Besides her parents and husband, George, she was preceded in death by one son, James Kreuzer; three sisters, Marcie Altenhofen, Louise Dietzler and Katherine Pancheri; and three brothers, Frank, Bud and Ray Dietzler.
We have all been blessed to have her in our lives and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Entombment will be in the Holy Angels Mausoleum, St. Michael Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
The family would like to thank Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, and everyone at Harmony Terrace Court for all the loving care and support given to Lucille over the past four years. The family wishes also to thank all of her friends and family for their special prayers for Lucille until her death.
