Lucille L. Busse

December 18, 1928 — February 26, 2013

Lucille L. Busse, 84, formerly of Marathon died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Cedar Ridge Assisted Living Center, Schofield. On July 8, 1946 she married Walter Busse in Madison. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1998. Lucille was a homemaker and for many years ran a "non-profit home daycare" for her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother and truly enjoyed the time spent with her family. Lucille will be fondly remembered for her wonderful cooking and baking skills, especially her fantastic baked bread. Among her favorite things to do were crocheting and artex painting. Later in life, she enjoyed her work at 29 Super Market. Through the years, faith in God was a guiding force in her life. Survivors include her children, Connie (Gary) Maples, Sheboygan Falls, Judy (Dean Sherwood) Fish, Poynette, Vicki (Rick) Midthun, Waunakee, Peggy (Harold) Heath, Poynette, Sheri (Bryan Dehnel) Seubert, Wausau, Sally (Norman) Furger, Marathon, Wayne (Kathleen) Busse, Marathon, Larry Busse, Mosinee, Laurie (Mark) Kaiser, Sheboygan, Suzie (Bruce) Lang, Marathon and Kristi (Pat) Mohr, Marathon, 29 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, siblings, Jerome (Avis) Miller, Lorraine Moran, Bob (Audrey) Miller and Mary (Delbert) Bollig. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by infant twin daughters, Judy and JoAnn, three grandchildren, Rebecca Seubert, Kevin and Michelle Fish. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6:30 p.m. Friday March 1, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 3:30 p.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon, is in charge of arrangements.
