Lucille R. Budleski
84, Hatley, died Friday April 22, 2005 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.
She was born March 11, 1921 in Appleton, daughter of the late Herbert and Mayme (Ferries) Lodholz. On October 19, 1940, she married Edmund Budleski at St. James Catholic Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death May 27, 1992.
Lucille and Edmund farmed in the town of Reid and she also was an Avon and Tupperware representative for many years as well as having worked at the former Marathon Battery. A longtime member of St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley, she was also a member of the Rosary Society, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Rose, the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, the Ringle Homemakers Club and the Birthday Club. Among her favorite things to do were playing Bingo and an occaisional trip to the casino.
Survivors include her children, Donald (Barb Schocker) Budleski, Hatley, Diane (Tom) Martin, Mosinee, Dennis (Audrey Bishop) Budleski, Schofield, Mary Woller, Mosinee, Michael (Lee Ann) Budleski, Hatley, 11 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, her siblings, Evelyn Smith, St. Petersburg, Fla., Ruth (Don) Seymour, Shawano, Shirley (Dane) Felch, Schofield, Orville (Irene Nievinski) Lodholz, Wausau, Joan (Edward) Jehn, Wausau, Joyce Steinke, Wausau, Lois (Les) Niewolny, Wausau and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, Lucille was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcia Budleski and a sister, Delores Lodholz.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 26, 2005 at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. Rev. Thomas Abraham will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10 - 11 a.m. all at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. There will be a parish, Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters rosary service at 7 p.m. Monday evening at the church.
The family would like to give special thanks to Lynn, who cared for Lucille and enabled her to stay in her own home as long as possible. Sincere thanks is also extended to the caregivers at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center and the Comfort Care and Hospice program for their compassion and help.
