Lucas N. Sherfinski

Lucas N. Sherfinski 84, Wausau passed away Thursday, August 7, 2003 at Colonial Manor Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Wausau. He was born October 18, 1918 in Brokaw, son of the late John & Marcyanna (Zywicki) Sherfinski. On June 22, 1963, he married Dorothy Esker at St. James Catholic Church, Wausau. She preceded him in death on September 3, 2000. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed at Wausau Paper Mill, Brokaw. Lucas was a member of the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Survivors include one brother, Andrew Sherfinski, Waukesha; one sister, Marion Schneck, Schofield and many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter & Alex Sherfinski and one sister, Anastasia Delikowski. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2003 the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. Stephen Gross will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Monday until time of services at the church. The family wishes to thank all the nurses & staff at Colonial Manor Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Wausau. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau or a charity of your choice.
