Luanne J. Wagner

LuAnne J. Wagner LuAnne Wagner joined the angels at the early age of 62, Saturday, July 29, 2006. LuAnne is survived by her husband and best friend for over 43 years, Gary (Bear) Wagner; her children, Randy and Mary Lou Wagner, Rich and Kathy Wagner, and Renee and Todd Every; her grandchildren, Cole Wagner, JamieLee Wagner, and Valerie and Gabrielle Every; and her siblings, Ronald Riemer, Robert and Caroline Riemer, and JoAnne and Robert Pelatzke. LuAnne was born June 14, 1944 and grew up on a farm in Athens, WI. She graduated from Athens High School in 1962 and then worked at Marathon Cheese for 4 years. LuAnne June Riemer married Gerald Edwin Wagner in Athens, WI in 1963. LuAnne (Lu Lu Bugs) and Gary shared a love of the water, and "Captain" LuAnne was infamous for being the best boat driver on Lake Michigan. LuAnne was very close with her entire family and remained best friends with her identical twin sister her entire life. In 1993, LuAnne and Gary started another "family" at Lake du Bay Shores Campground. LuAnne will be fondly remembered for her love of watching her children in sports and her grandchildren, especially in speed skating and plays. She also loved camping, fishing, crafts, (especially cross-stitching), spoiling her grandchildren, watching animals in her yard, and raising pets. LuAnne worked with wonderful friends at M&I Bank for 26 years and was part of the "Money Bags" social group. She also thoroughly enjoyed her time working at Kathy's craft store, The Sable Brush, and most recently at Kohl's Department Store. LuAnne was always walking, decorating her home or camper, or cooking for family and friend gatherings. She was very active at Rib Mountain Lutheran Church in a Bible class and on committees, and was recently teaching Vacation Bible School. LuAnne touched many people and we will all miss her greatly. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at Rib Mountain Lutheran Church. The Rev. Thomas Hoelter will officiate. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Rib Mountain Lutheran Church.
