Louise E. Schlaefer

Louise E. Schlaefer 93, Wausau, died Monday October 2, 2006 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Harmony House, Wausau. She was born June 21, 1913, in Wausau, daughter of the late John A. and Clara (Esker) Schlaefer. Prior to her retirement in 1972, Louise had been employed in the catalog department at Sears, Roebuck & Co., Wausau. Louise was a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women at Resurrection Parish, Wausau. Survivors include a niece and two nephews, John C. "Jack" (Sandy) Schlaefer, Three Lakes, Karen (Jack) Mielke and James Schlaefer, all of Wausau, many great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John B. Schlaefer. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday October 5, 2006 at The Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
