Louise Kaas

Louise Kaas, 93, Rothschild, died Friday, April 2, 2004 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born June 16, 1910 in Wausau daughter of the late Michael and Louise (Gruenwald) Kaas. Louise worked for the U.S. Social Security office in Wausau for many years. She was an active member of the former St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau and belonged to the Choir and various Women's groups and was an enthusiastic bridge player. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Charles Dernbach, Rothschild, Richard (Kathy) Dernbach, Bainbridge Island, Wash., Susan Dernbach, Seattle, Wash., Jamie (Edward) Potkai, Windsor, Conn., JoAnn McGrath, Boston, Mass., Robert (Elizabeth) Resch, Atlanta, Ga., Jean Berres, Waco, Tex., and Michael (Pat) Kaas, Alexandria, Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, Margaret Berres, Florence Resch, Mildred Schulz, Helene Kaas, Marian Dernbach; and two brothers, Lawrence and Alfred Kaas. The funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. Stephen Gross will preside. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family directs memorials to Resurrection Church.
