Louetta "Ettie" A. Krueger

Louetta "Ettie" A. Krueger 91, Athens, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born February 7, 1922 in the town of Rib Falls, daughter of the late Paul and Elsa (Plisch) Lueck. On May 18, 1946, she married Clarence Krueger at Salem Lutheran Church, Hamburg. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1998. Most of her life, Ettie lived in the town of Hamburg and moved to Athens in 1991. She was a member of the Rib Falls Homemakers Club for 50 Years, and also a member of the Red Hatters, the Trinity Ladies Aid and the Lutheran Laymans League. Among her many interests, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, embroidery, gardening, puzzles and her Bible study group. Ettie loved to visit with people and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include, three nieces, Kathy (Gary) Donner, Minnesota, Nancy (Don) Voelker, Wausau and Bonnie Schmidt, Wausau; two nephews, Roger (Judy) Baumann, Hayward and Gary Lueck, Birnamwood; special family members, Ken and Nancy Ellenbecker and their family; and many great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Clarence, she was preceded in death by one sister, Verna Baumann and one brother, Merlin Lueck. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. Rev. Andrew Alberts will officiate. Burial will be in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Hamburg. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the church and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
