Louetta "Lou" Gantner
66, 2940 Flagstone Lane, Wausau, died Thursday, January 20, 2005 at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Lou was born August 27, 1938 in the town of Rietbrock, daughter of the late Philip and Mabel (Soucek) Stencil. On September 1, 1956, she married Claude Gantner at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. He survives.
Lou was employed with Marathon Electric, Wausau for 47 years. She enjoyed dancing & listening to Polkas and going up north to their cottage. She will be deeply missed by her family and extended family.
Besides her husband, Claude Gantner, Wausau; survivors include two sisters, Darleen (Edmund) Writz, Elderon and Rose Marie Ledden, Stoddard; one brother, Denis (Rosemary) Stencil, Schofield; many special nieces & nephews.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2005 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Joseph Gyim-Austin will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
