Lorraine B. Windorski

Lorraine B. Windorski 86, Wausau, died Sunday, February 26, 2012 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. She was born August 22, 1925 in Athens, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Baskhuber) Neumann. On June 22, 1946 she married Ben Windorski who preceded her in death on February 10, 2004. Lorraine was a member of the Eagles and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her family and for many years her granddaughter, Crystal took on the role of her caregiver so she could stay at home. Survivors include her sons, Jerome Windorski, Decatur Windorski, both of Wausau, William (Penny) Windorski, Mosinee and Andrew Windorski, Wausau; grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Josh, Monica and Crystal; six great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clem and Edward Neumann. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. David Rybicki will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
