Lorraine K. Riste

Lorraine K. Riste, 87, Weston, died Saturday December 29, 2012 at Renaissance, Weston. She was born August 18, 1925, in Wausau, daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Leist) Lerch. On October 14, 1950, she married Stanley Riste at St. James Catholic Church, Wausau. He survives. Prior to her retirement, Lorraine had been employed as a long distance operator. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Association and the Equitable Reserve Association. Among her favorite things to do were camping, fishing, reading and playing cards. Special to her was the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Stanley, Weston, five children, Douglas (Christine) Riste, Weston, Debra (David) Rhyner, California, Daniel (Beth) Riste, Sheboygan, Diane (John) Stasiak, Plymouth, Donna Johnson, Fond du Lac, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Gerard Johnson, four brothers, Norman, Harvey, Herbert and Elroy Lerch. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Weds. January 2, 2013 at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Weds. from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
