Lorraine E. Mroczenski

Lorraine E. Mroczenski, 91, died Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Dycora Health and Living Community, Abbotsford, with her daughter by her side.

Lorraine enjoyed volunteering at the Athens Library, sewing, crocheting and leaving instructional hand-written notes on everything.

She was born July 4, 1928 in town of Halsey, daughter of the late Raymond and Anna (Eibl) Gore.  On June 9, 1949 she married Stanley Mroczenski at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens.  He preceded her in death on March 18, 1997.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia “Pat” Klimpke; son, Ervin (Joanne) Mroczenski; grandchildren, Stacey Vollrath and Nick (Jennifer) Klimpke; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Thompson, Bradley, Kyle, Kaitlynn, Keagan and Liam Klimpke and Jason Greisbach; sister, Lila (Ty) Keller; brothers, Rufus “Bud” Gore and Clayton (Alice) Gore; sister-in-law, Marcy (Allan) Leitermann; brother-in-law, Dave Beaty.

Besides her parents and husband, Stanley, she was preceded in death by an infant son, infant grandson, infant great-grandson, son-in-law, Carl Klimpke, grandson-in-law, Gary Vollrath, brother, Ralph Gore, sister, Mary Jo Beaty.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2019 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens.  Rev. Timothy Oudenhoven will preside.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens.  Visitation will be Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens, and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.  There will be a parish rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
