Lorraine Martha Laszewski

Lorraine Martha Laszewski 76, 4901 County Road U, Wausau died Monday, August 26, 2002 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born April 22, 1926 in Stevens Point, daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Studinski) Dombrowski. On December 29, 1945, she married Robert H. Laszewski in Stevens Point. He survives. In 1948, the Laszewski's moved to Wausau, where Lorraine helped establish the family business, Marathon Implement Company. During her children's elementary years, Lorraine was very active in Maine School PTA, serving as president for many years. Besides her husband, Robert, she is survived one daughter, Susan (Gustav) Johnson, Wausau; two sons, Robert L. (Virginia) Laszewski, Stevensville, MD and Keith R. Laszewski, Schofield; three grandchildren, Dan and Matt Laszewski and Kirsten Johnson; two sisters, Delores (Ken) Richtmyre, Kenosha and Diane (Jack) Chesney, Wisconsin Rapids; one brother, Wayne (Carol) Dombrowski, Wallkill, NY and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services and burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 29, 2002 in De Pines Cemetery, Stevens Point located on Hwy 10 East. Lorraine was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease 15 years ago. Memorials in Lorraine's name may be designated to Wisconsin Parkinson's Association or Hospice services. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau assisted family with arrangements.
