Lorraine Kohl
71, Wausau, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, November 8, 2002 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
She was born February 16, 1931 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Norman and Madge (Fuller) Brahmstedt.
One of Lorraine's accomplishments, while raising her children, was going back to the University of Milwaukee and receiving her Masters Degree in Social Work. She then took a position as a Juvenile Probation Officer for Milwaukee County until taking an early retirement to take care of her mother until her passing.
Survivors include two daughters, Vicki (Randy) LaFave, and Stacey Kohl, both of Wausau; five grandchildren, Amber (Chris) Dubay, Jesse Lore, Chad Schulz, Benjamin Vice and Andrew Schulz; one brother, Howard (Pat) Brahmstedt, Cookville, Tennessee; special friend, Sharon Mueller, New Berlin; nieces and a nephew.
Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2002 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau. Chaplain Kimberly Stowell will officate. Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street Funeral Home.
