Lorraine M. Greiner

Lorraine M. Greiner, 76, 1505 W. Randolph St., Wausau, died Thursday, October 30, 2003 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born November 24, 1926 in Athens, daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Riehle) Hart. On May 28, 1949 she married Ralph C. Greiner in Athens. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1984. Lorraine and Ralph farmed in Marathon County for many years, she was a volunteer at Kannenberg Plaza, a member of the Church of St. Anne and the Fatima Council. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, polka music and dancing to the sounds of the Greiner Brothers. Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie (Steven) Nenstiel, Edgar; two sons, Russell (Jolene) Greiner, Marathon, John (Dana) Greiner, Houston, Tex.; two grandsons Bradley Nenstiel, Rhinelander and Jeffrey Nenstiel, Madison; and one sister Mabel Remsza, Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Laverne Greiner and one brother Cletus Hart. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m Monday, November 3, 2003 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. The Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Entombment will be in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Sunday from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Shelly and the staff of Our House Assisted Living for their thoughtfulness and care given to Lorraine during her time there.
