Loretta A. Saeger

Loretta A. Saeger, 85, Wausau, died Friday, December 16, 2016 at Mount View Care Center, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born August 6, 1931 in the Town of Berlin to the late Martin and Geneva (Eckes) Grawien. On September 30, 1950 she married Elmer Saeger at St. Paul Lutheran Church in the Town of Berlin. He preceded her in death on August 16, 2014. Loretta worked at the Fromm Bothers Farm in the Town of Hamburg until her marriage to Elmer, after which she became a stay-at-home mom. She was an excellent seamstress and especially loved to crochet. Baking was also a passion of hers, and she often prepared baked goods for Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where she was a member. She also enjoyed occasional trips to the casino. Survivors include two daughters Kathy (Al) Czeck, Wausau and Kris (Al) Cordova, Tomahawk; five grandchildren, Kari (Nick Hettinga), and Chad Czeck of Wausau, Andy Cordova, of Rhinelander, Nick (Christy) Cordova of Tomahawk, and Lori (Jim) Hafner of Wausau; nine great-grandchildren, Gage and Austin Hettinga, Chandler and Chayse Czeck, Mark and Kerra Cordova, Megan and James Cordova, and Kaylyn Hafner. Besides her parents and husband, Loretta was preceded in death by a brother Ralph Bohman and a sister Lorraine Doering. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Joy Nelson-Jeffers will officiate. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com.
