Lois A. Wittman
71, Wausau, died Friday, July 4, 2003 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
She was born May 11, 1932 in Marshfield, to the late George and Bertha (Stockheimer) Wittman.
Lois worked for the Marathon County Public Library for two years upon graduating from Wausau Senior High School. Thereafter, until her retirement, 40 years later, she was employed as a legal secretary by the Tinkham Law Firm. Her mother lived with her until her mother's death. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and her family. In later years, she was handicapped with multiple sclerosis and was appreciative of the family and friends who helped her. And most especially, she enjoyed the companionship and love of her kitties, first "Scruff" and now "Scampy". She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Rose. Lois will always be remembered as a courageous, independant and loving sister, aunt and friend.
Survivors include her sister, Joan (Karl) Williams, Wausau; niece, Susan (Shadler) Schlicht, Stevens Point; nephew, Kurt (Carolyn) Williams, Lake-In-The-Hills, Ill., and many cousins and special friends.
