Lois J. Stieve

Lois J. Stieve 74, Wausau, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 9, 2010 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born November 22, 1935 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Harmon and Olga (Milbrandt) Stoddard. On September 11, 1954, she married Arthur Stieve in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2007. Lois worked as a loan officer for the Kilbourn State Bank, Milwaukee for many years. She enjoyed an active retirement as a volunteer at South Mountain Elementary School, Rib Mountain, a volunteer with Aspirus Wausau Hospital and participated in many activities at St. Mark Lutheran Church. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include, three children, Tim (Cheryl) Stieve, Michael (Ahn) Stieve and Lauri (Tom) Plautz, all of Wausau; seven grandchildren, Courtney (Anthony) Korselt, Melissa (James) Fife, Troy Plautz, Ryan (Liz Kuchenbecker) Plautz, Amanda Stieve, Alisha and McKayla Stieve; seven great grandchildren, Hero, Allegra, Ian, Colin and Cecily Fife, Oliver and Henry Korselt; and many relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Arthur, she was preceded in death by one brother, Warner Stoddard. Memorial services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2010 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Bruce Lamont will officiate. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
