Lloyd P. Lang

Lloyd P. Lang, 80, town of Cassel, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Aspirus Hospice House in Wausau, with his family by his side. He was born August 12, 1936 on the family farm in Cassel, the only son of Jacob and Mathilda (Stieber) Lang. On July 16, 1960, he married Antoinette "Toni" Kurtzweil at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Halder. She survives. Lloyd was a 1954 graduate of the Marathon High School and was a lifelong resident of the town of Cassel, where he worked as a dairy and ginseng farmer. He also enjoyed driving milk truck for several area cheese factories. Lloyd was a loving son, husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, neighbor and friend and will be remembered as a kind, patient, hardworking, social and easy going man, who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Marathon. Survivors include, his loving wife of 57 years, Toni Lang, Cassel; seven children, Bruce (Debora) Lang, Marathon, Beth Ann (Rick) Sandrini, Weston, Linda (Brian) Heise, Marathon, Mary Kay (Don) Hagenbucher, Marathon, Carolyn (Steve) Metz, Hazelhurst, Brenda (Wally) Skic, Merrill and Ann (Roger) Seubert, Marathon; 17 grandchildren, Kyle, Megan, Jordan, Kelsey, Chad, Tyler, Amanda, Nicole, Brianna, Jonathan, Jacob, Katie, Stephanie, Ethan, Remington, Cassidy and Spencer; and 11 great-grandchildren, Aiden, Taelyn, Jayden, Jaxon, Camden, Beckett, Zachary, Logan, Brayden, Cameron and Aubrey. He was preceded in death by his parents and one great-grandson, Hunter. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at St. Mary Catholic Church on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
