Linda M. Young

Linda M. Young, 60, Schofield, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born March 27, 1955 in Wausau, the daughter of Lawrence and Dolores (Szalewski) Achenreiner of Schofield. On July 12, 1975, she married James Young at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. He survives. Linda enjoyed being a homemaker and especially loved babysitting for her two grandchildren over the past four years. Among some of her favorite pastimes, she liked to read, make crafts, sew, cross stich, bowling and shooting pool. Linda was also a cancer survivor and participated in many Relay For Life events. Survivors include, her husband of 40 years, James Young, Schofield; her parents; three children, Courtney (David) Lynch, Janesville, Brandon Young, Schofield and Ryan (Rachel) Young, Weston; two grandchildren, Aiden and Peyton Young; one sister, Lori (David) Jeannette, Plainfield, Illinois; one brother, Larry (Gwen) Achenreiner, Onalaska, Wisconsin; two brothers-in-law, Rick (Rhonda) Young, Tomahawk and John "Jack" (Sue) Young, Wausau; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Jesse and Nettie Young. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Louis Britto will preside. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
