Lillian L. Krautkramer

December 16, 1921 — October 29, 2003

Lillian L. Krautkramer 81, formerly Marathon, died Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. She was born December 16, 1921 in Edgar, daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Kania) Strasser. On October 10, 1945, she married Alois Krautkramer at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1999. Lillian was a loving mother and a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary PCCW and life member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Besides cooking, baking, tending to her vegetable garden, she was an avid reader and enjoyed her German Shepherds. Lillian took great pride in reading to and taking care of her grandchildren. Survivors includes two daughters, Linda (Tim) Tanck, Wausau, and their children, Richard (Tiffany) Tanck and their son, Nicholas, Laurie (Jeremy) Kloos; Jolene (Mike) Schwarm, Sobieski, WI, and their children, Jennifer Schwarm and her daughter, Taylor Jo, Justin and Jordon Schwarm; four sons, Thomas (Jayne) Krautkramer, Wausau, and their children, Angie and Tom Jr. Krautkramer; Ken (Debbie) Krautkramer, Mosinee and their children, Brian and Renee Krautkramer; Robert (Chris) Krautkramer, Marathon and their children, Sara, Wendy and Julie Krautkramer; Richard (Barbara) Krautkramer, Marathon and their children, Scott, Jason and Lisa Krautkramer; four sisters, Delphine Trawicki, Ella Bornheimer both of Edgar, Viola Schuster, Wausau and Marge Olson, Milwaukee; two brothers, Raymond Strasser, Wausau and Elroy (Helen) Strasser, Edgar. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Ably; one brother, John Strasser. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2003 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and again from 10:00 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary service at 1:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Marathon funeral home.
