Leroy A. Pagenkopf

LeRoy A. Pagenkopf 70, 1114 South 14th Avenue, Wausau died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at his home. He was born June 29, 1938 in Wausau son of Berniece (Albrecht) Pagenkopf and the late Earl Pagenkopf. LeRoy married Helen Wojcik at St. Therese Catholic Church in Westboro. They later divorced. On October 24, 1992 he married Judith (Andreas) Landrum at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wausau. This Friday would have been their 16th wedding anniversary. LeRoy was a crew chief at James River for more than 40 years. He was a member of the Elks Club for over 31 years and will be fondly remembered for being the master of all trades. LeRoy proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard from 1956 to 1960. Survivors include his wife, Judith Pagenkopf, Wausau, his mother, Berniece Pagenkopf, Wausau, his children, David (Vickie) Pagenkopf, and his children, Kari and Erik, all of McFarland, Brian Pagenkopf, London, Ontario, Canada, two step children, Daniel (Jerilynn) Landrum, Wausau, and his children, Heather and Austin Landrum and Andrew Randel, Bruce (Regina) Beadles, and his children, Brianna and Kierra, all of Grand Island, New York. LeRoy is further survived by one brother, Donald (Donna) Pagenkopf, Mosinee along with many nieces and nephews. Besides his father he was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Jr. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2008 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wausau. The Rev. Mary Kay Sauter will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, with an Elks Lodge of Sorrow at 5 p.m. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Full military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post #10, Wausau. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in LeRoy's name.
