LeRoy "Bob" Frahm
89, 424 Elm Street, Athens, died Monday April 14, 2003 at his home.
He was born February 6, 1914 in the town of Bern, son of the late George and Anna (Klein) Frahm.
On April 10, 1937 he married Sophia Niewolny in Athens. She preceded him in death August 11, 2002.
For several years, Bob was self employed as a milk hauler. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a janitor at the Athens High School and after retirement he did custodial work for the bank in Athens. In years past, Bob was a volunteer with the Athens Fire Department. He also enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family, especially his brother, Leonard Frahm Sr.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Woellner, Austin, Texas, a son, Gary (Maxine) Frahm, Wausau, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Dorothy (Leonard) Bonian, Indianna, five brothers, Harold Frahm, Athens, John (Florence) Frahm, Wausau, Leonard Frahm Sr., Athens, Marvin (Beverly) Frahm, Milwaukee and Reuben (Myrna) Frahm, Ringle.
Besides his parents and wife, Sophia, he was preceded in death by a son, Irvin Niewolny, a sister, Florabelle Writz and two brothers, Orville and George Frahm.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. Monday April 21, 2003 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call on Monday from 2:30 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
