Leonard A. Wadzinski
78, 3103 Townline Road, Wausau, died Wednesday April 2, 2003 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
He was born July 21, 1924 in the town of Cassel, son of the late Frank and Jennie (Marzynski) Wadzinski. On August 31, 1948 he married Delphine Hall in Marathon. She survives.
Prior to his retirement, Leonard had been employed at Weyerhaeuser, Rothschild. After retirement, he continued hobby farming. He was a family man that truly enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Among his favorite things to do were gardening, making wood and going to polka dances with his wife, Delphine.
Survivors besides his wife Delphine, include his children, Lois (Gary) Sirvio, Mosinee, Donna (James) Richardson, LaCrosse, Daniel (Debbie) Wadzinski, Hastings, Minn., Michael Wadzinski, Menasha, seven grandchildren, Julia Sirvio, Katherine, Kevin, Kristopher and Kimberly Richardson, J.D. and Patrick Wadzinski.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters, Raymond, Edward, Joseph, Harland, Ervin, David, Stanley and Frank Wadzinski, Florence Kruesel, Eleanor Lepak, Mary Wadzinski, Regina Koppa, Clara Kempf and Anna Kienbaum.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday April 5, 2003 at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. Stephen Gross will preside. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call today from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
