Leonard Sikorski, 89, formerly of 3002 Heron Avenue, Wausau, died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
Leonard was born August 24, 1913, in Poniatowski, son of the late Anton and Helen (Soczka) Sikorski. He married Armella (Burgoyne) Egle, on July 1, 1961, at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. She survives.
Leonard retired from the former Connors Industries, Wausau and also had worked at Marathon Electric. Bike riding, fishing, camping and especially traveling were among his favorite things to do.
Besides his wife Armella Sikorski, Minocqua, he is survived by one step-son, Kenneth (Darlene) Egle, Courtside, Arizona; two step-daughters, Carol (John) Jalinski, Minocqua, Linda (Gerald) Skilling, Mosinee; 10 step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Florian (Irene) Sekorski, Edgar; one sister, Mary Bohr, Schofield.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. The Rev. Joseph Gyim-Austin will preside. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
