Leonard J. Seim
86, 2214 Tenth Street, Wausau, died Weds. January 9, 2002 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.
He was born October 22, 1915 in Wausau, son of the late John and Katherine (Legman) Seim. On November 20, 1941 he married Eleanor Gruna in Wausau. She survives.
Leonard founded 'Seim Appliance Co.' in 1941 and operated the business until the time of his retirement in 1989. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and bowling. Leonard was also a member of the Elk's Lodge #248, Wausau.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Seim, Wausau, three sons, Jerome (Jeanne) Seim, Schofield, twin sons, Robert (Julie) Seim, Schofield and William (Joanne) Seim, Austin, Texas, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, John, two great-grandchildren and a brother, Edward Seim.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday January 12, 2002 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. The Very Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Entombment will be in Holy Angels Mausoleum, Wausau. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
