Leonard M. Netzel

Leonard M. Netzel 83, 1221 S. 5th Avenue, Wausau, died Friday December 6, 2002 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. He was born June 22, 1919 in Wausau, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Lewandowski) Netzel. On July 16, 1945 he married Carolyn Frank in Madison. She preceded him in death on August 4, 1978. Leonard was a veteran of World War II serving in the Air Force. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Tool & Die maker at the former Crestline Corporation. Survivors include two sons, Dr. Thomas (Marla) Netzel, Atlanta, Georgia, William (Sheryl) Netzel, Rhinelander, two daughters, Joan(husband, John Gronwall)Netzel, Atlanta, Georgia, Mary (Mark) Gillis, Golden, Colorado, three grandchildren. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday December 10, 2002 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Joseph Gyim-Austin will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 9 - 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau.
