Leonard J. Koziel Sr.
89, Wausau, died Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born April 13, 1921 in Wausau, son of the late John and Alvina (Midlikowski) Koziel. In 1970 he married Alice Stephens in Illinois. She preceded him in death.
Leonard worked at Curtis and later Norlen Inc. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
Survivors include his three children, Bette (Mike) Jacobs, Wausau, Carol (Richard) Treu, Wausau and Leonard Jr. (Sharon) Koziel, Mosinee; nine grandchildren, Todd (Katie) Rucinski, Terri Jo Rucinski, Kipp (Lisa) Rucinski, Christopher (Jodi) Treu, Heath "Mike" (Paula) Treu, Angela Koziel, Matthew Koziel, Michele Paoli and Kevin (Daley) Wianecki; 13 great grandchildren, Patrick, Ryan, Morgan, Whitney, Anthony, Vincent, Cody, Weslie, Abagael, Shawna, Sydney, Stevie and Darrin (Katie); other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents and wife, Alice, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Kay, a grandson, Richard Paul Treu and a brother, Emil Koziel.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2010 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. The Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
