Leona V. Teske

Leona "Ona" V. Teske 69, 2707 Hwy U, Wausau, died Saturday, February 12, 2005 at her home. She was born December 30, 1935 in the town of Stettin, daughter of the late Reinhardt and Viola (Langhoff) Stahel. On October 29, 1955, she married Raymond Teske at Trinity Lutheran Church, Stettin. He survives. Leona was a homemaker. She was a member of the Thursday Morning Koffee Klutch Bowling at Mountain Lanes, Wausau. Among her many interests, she loved babysitting and spending time with children and family. Survivors include her husband, Raymond, Wausau; two sons, John (Cathy) Teske and their son, Travis, Wausau and Bill (Debra) Teske and their children, Stacy (Andrew) Dreifke, Tonya (Dustin) Trannor and Harley Teske, all of Rio; two great grandchildren, Danielle and Autumn Trannor; three sisters, Esther Mohr, Marathon, Verna (Walter) Baneck, Wausau and Lois (Gary) Hermans, Eau Claire; three brothers, Norman (Jeanette) Stahel, Wausau, Merlin (Jean) Stahel, Marathon and Melvin (Clara) Stahel, Marathon; and many neices and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Selma Evers and Lydia Werner. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Dr. Michael Meranda will officiate. Burial will be in at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau and again on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until services at the church.
