Leona M. Petrowski

Leona M. Petrowski, 85, formerly of Marathon, died Thursday, October 2, 2003 at the Hospice House, Wausau. She was born February 18, 1918 in Wausau, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Krolikowski) Petrowski. For 52 years Leona was a devoted domestic engineer for Rev. Lloyd Geissler having served at several parishes in the Wausau area. Survivors include three nieces, Patricia (Roger) Messerschmidt, Wausau, Kathlyne Bethke, Wausau, Maryanne (Dennis) Burazin, Wausau; one nephew, Michael Mealey, Schofield; one sister-in-law, Ruth Petrowski, Wausau and several great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Mealey and two brothers John and Daniel Petrowski. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2003 at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Joseph Gyim - Austin, Rev. Fred Kulovits and Rev. Lloyd Geissler will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
