Leona Maszk
92, 1010 E. Wausau Avenue, Wausau, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
She was born June 1, 1912 in the town of Reid, daughter of the late Barney and Monica (Clemens) Buchkoski. On October 16, 1937, she married Winslow Maszk in Bevent. He survives.
Leona was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking.
Survivors include her husband, Winslow Maszk, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Ervin, Myron, Lucian, Elmer, Joseph and Edwin Buchkoski.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2005 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, and again on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil service Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the Sixth Street Funeral Home.
