Leona J. Dobeck

Leona Dobeck, 84, of Village of Weston died August 17, 2008 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Weston. She was born March 16, 1924, in Edgar, daughter of the late Frank and Frances Knetter. She married Casmir Dobeck on April 22, 1944, in Edgar. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1993. Leona will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, and the grandchildren she enjoyed tending and the succulent meals she prepared for her family. She loved her children and time spent with all her grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Tom of Schofield, and Donald of Denver, Colorado; four daughters, Lillian (James) Francken, Charlotte (Larry) Bendickson, Joan (James) Brown, Tammy (Randy) Balausky; 13 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren; one son-in-law, James Byrne, Chicago. She was preceded in death by her husband, Casmir Dobeck, daughter Carol Byrne, and three sisters, Florence (Walter) Feltz, Irene (John) Guralski and Elsie (Stanley) Szymanski. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 113 W Kort St., Rothshild. The Rev. Donald Berg will preside.
