Lee G. Petersohn

December 17, 1946 — July 28, 2013

Lee Petersohn, 66, Weston, died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born December 17, 1946 in Two Rivers, son of the late George and Janice (Drossart) Petersohn. On June 2, 1979 he married Barb Wix at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, Schofield. She survives. For 13 years Lee worked at the former J.I. Case/Drott Inc. in Schofield at then went to work for Sentry Insurance in Stevens Point in the telecommunications department for more than 25 years. Lee truly enjoyed going camping with his family, watching NASCAR races, spoiling his grandchildren and enjoying the company of his best friend and companion, Dusty. Survivors include his wife, Barb Petersohn, Weston, his daughter, Amber (Michael) Jelinek, Kronenwetter, his step children, Allen (Tania) Paszek, Rothschild, Ron Paszek and Tami Paszek, both of Schofield, his grandchildren, Michael and Landon Jelinek, Zach, Logan, Dakota, Dalton, Dylan and Alexis Paszek, one brother, David (Debbie) Petersohn, Manitowoc and two sisters, Debbie (Steve Owens) Petersohn, Manitowoc and Kathy Schmidt, Colorado and nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and his father-in-law, Selvina and Henry Wix. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2013 at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, Schofield. The Rev. Jeffrey P. Mahnke will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Lee's name. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com There are no words to express our appreciation to Dr. Rezazadeh and Dr. Ahuja and the whole Oncology department at Aspirus Wausau Hospital and the Cancer Center for the wonderful care given to Lee. Everyone was so amazing!
