Lawrence Hiebl, age 80, passed away April 25, 2013 at his home. He was born March 29, 1933 to the late George and Anna (Krupka) Hiebl. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On July 15, 1977 he married Illa Pempek.
He is survived by his wife, Illa, Athens; one son, Jason (Stacy) Hiebl, Austin, Texas; four step children, Brian Pempek, Athens, Shannon (Linda) Pempek, Colby, Randall (Lynn) Pempek, Athens, and Jennifer (Chad) Pempek, Boyceville. He is further survived by siblings, Delores (Bill) Hackel, Anthony (Marlene) Hiebl, Rev. Charles Hiebl, Aggie (Glenn) Paul, James (Elaine) Hiebl, Joseph Hiebl, and Mary (Lueder Finken) Hiebl; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery at a later date.
