Laverne M. Moennig

LaVerne M. Moennig 80, Eagle River, died Sunday, March 21, 2004 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born October 26, 1923 in Chicago, daughter of the late Earl and Anna (Krueger) Shuler. On October 17, 1943, she married Herold Moennig Sr. in Chicago. He preceded her in death. LaVerne was a homemaker and a waitress for many years. She was a caring and loving mother and dear friend to many. Mom enjoyed knitting and crocheting and many enjoyed her sour braten. She had a very strong Christian faith and enjoyed sharing God's Word to others. We will miss her dearly. Survivors include two daughters, April (Walt) Gander, Eagle River and January Moennig, Belleair Bluffs, Florida; six sons, Herold Moennig, Jr., Lake Bluff, Illinois, Greg Moennig, Palatine, Illinois, Mark (Jan) Moennig, Merrillan, Jesse Moennig, Wisconsin Rapids, Luther (Mary) Moennig, Sparta and Doug (Sue) Moennig, Mukwonago; seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
