LaVerne James Krueger
58, 508 5th St., Marathon, died Wednesday, January 23, 2002 at his home.
He was born November 24, 1943 in Wausau, son o f the late Harvey and Viola (Riemer) Krueger. On July 12, 1975, he married Ann Froehlich in Wausau. She survives.
LaVerne worked on the bridge crew for Marathon County Highway Department. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, reading but most specially enjoyed spending time with his cat "Amelia" and his grandchildren.
Survivors besides his wife, Ann Krueger, Marathon, include his mother, LaVila Krueger, Edgar; 2 daughters, Laurie Searing husband, Ron Schlueter and Lisa Searing husband, Jay Platta all of Madison; 3 grandchildren, Alexis, Crystal and Michael; 1 sister, Phyllis (David) Pawlowski, Athens; 2 brothers, Elroy Krueger and Merlin (Patsy) Krueger all of Edgar; 2 step-sisters, Sharon Landowski, Edgar and Sandra (Arthur) Ebbinger, Clarksville, TN; 3 step-brothers, Lyas (Jean) Baumann, Hamburg, Gary (Beverly) Baumann, Merrill and Dennis (Erin) Baumann, Greensboro, N.C.
Funeral Services were 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2002 at St. John Lutheran Church, Town of Rib Falls. Rev. Terry Reich will officiate. Burial was in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may directed to the Marathon County Humane Society.
