Laurie A. Waldhart

Laurie Alice Waldhart, age 67, of Wausau made her final journey home on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. She was born Laura Lee Alice Kolokowski in Wausau, WI on June 26, 1948, and was the daughter of Florence (Mullen) & Louis Meysembourg. She was married to Wayne Waldhart at the Church of St. Anne in Wausau on November 4, 1967. Laurie graduated from Wausau High School in 1966 and was a member of Mountain of the Lord Lutheran Church. Laurie enjoyed her numerous friends and especially playing poker and decorating her home and yard over the years. Her grandchildren and great grandchild were the love of her life and prior to her passing she had the opportunity to spend the second week of January with her whole family in Orlando. Laurie is survived by her husband of 48 plus years, her son Scott (Debbie) Waldhart, daughter Shannon Waldhart both of Wausau. Her grandchildren Greyson and Kade Waldhart, Daniel and Hailey Koplitz and great grandchild Hayden, two sisters Carol Hettinga and Charlotte (John) Fust, brother-in-law Ralph (Mary) Waldhart & sister-in-law Rachel (Kim) Hafner, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and her extended Marie Waldhart family, and so many loving friends too numerous to name. Laurie was preceeded in death by her mother Florence, her birth father Roger Max Clairmore, her father Lou, sisters Judith Merklein and Elizabeth "Betty" Kolokowski and her brother James Merklein. The family would like to express their deep appreciation for Dr. Hamied Rezazadeh and Dr. Timothy Logemann for their extraordinary care of Laurie over the past 20 plus years. They would also include Aspirus Hospice Care for their comfort service to her. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Mountain of the Lord Lutheran Church, 5506 Bittersweet Rd, Wausau. Visitation will be Friday, February 5, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until services all at Mountain of the Lord Lutheran Church.
