Laura Lodholz

Laura Lodholz, 90, Wausau, was received by her Lord into eternal life on Friday, July 22, 2016 at her home, under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. She was born December 19, 1925 in Marathon City, daughter of the late Clarence and Della (Reimer) Voigt. She became a part of God's family through Holy Baptism on January 1, 1926. On May 19, 1945, she married Harvey Lodholz at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hamburg. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2006. Laura was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. She truly enjoyed spending her time as a homemaker and also worked at various jobs in the Wausau area. In her younger years, Laura liked to play softball and go dancing with Harvey. Survivors include, one son, Rev. Gary (Lois) Lodholz, Fifield, Wis.; two grandchildren, Timothy (Ally) Lodholz, Maple Grove, Minn. and Heidi (Leo) Mohr, Wausau; five great-grandchildren, Kristian and Gabriel Lodholz, Samuel and Elliott Anderson and Jacob Mohr; one brother, Eldon Sr. (Audrey) Voigt, International Falls, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Gary Schultz will officiate. Entombment will be in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
