Latrice Denise Porter

LaTrice Denise Porter (LT), 49, went home to her Lord and Savior June 19, 2024, at her home in Wausau. She was born on April 3, 1975, in Little Rock, AR to Glen Nichols (Brooks) and the late William Porter. She married her bestfriend and soulmate, Fritz Reiche, June 27, 2016, in Winter Haven, FL.

Though her life was cut short, she made the most of every day, with her smile, hugs and laughter. She loved interacting with every  person she met. Her positivity was infectious. She found the best in every situation and person. She loved Jesus and enjoyed her daily devotionals. She loved the color yellow which was truly a reflection of her sun shining personality.

LaTrice graduated from DC Everest HS in 1993. During her time she played varsity basketball and ran varsity track. After graduation she attended college at UW Madison and was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve. Her hobbies included traveling and spending time with her husband, dancing, eating and loving up on any animal she came into contact with.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband Fritz Reiche, Wausau; her mother Glen (partner LW) Watson, Jonesboro, AR; a sister Tonya Moe, Wausau; brothers William Porter, Wausau and Reggie Nichols, Stevens Point; stepsisters Jackie Volhard (Matt), Wausau; Bena Harris, Metter GA; stepbrothers Dennis (Jeremiah) Garton, Wausau; Will (Liz) Garton, Spencer, WI; nieces/nephews  Nichaela Russo, Elijah Moe, Jordan Dailey, Alexis Neumann,Truth Porter, Xavieria Porter, Micah Volhard and multiple nieces/nephews.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held in her honor on Sunday July 14, 2024, from 10-3, at Carmelo’s Italian Restaurant 149841 County Rd NN, Wausau WI, 54401. The gathering will reflect her vibrant spirit. In lieu of flowers please consider monetary donation to help with this unexpected event.
