Larry I. Strese

Larry I. Strese 47, 1316 County Road A, Athens, died Saturday, October 27, 2001 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield. He was born August 13, 1954, in Fort Atkinson, son of Merlin Strese and Ilene (Schueler) Strese both of Fort Atkinson. On March 22, 1975, he married Martha Olsen in Jefferson. She survives. Larry was owner and operator of the Chalet Restaurant in Minocqua for 10 years and a Athens resident since 2000. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and was a avid cribbage player. Worshiping God was important part of Larry's life. Survivors besides his wife, Maratha and his parents, include 2 sons, Jeremiah (Danyel) Strese, Madison and Jacob (Kathryn Kraegenbrink) Strese, Stetsonville; 1 sister, Connie Dion, Rhode Island; 3 brothers, Merlin Jr. (Betty) Strese and Gary Strese all of Fort Atkinson and Brian Strese, Jefferson. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2001 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens. Rev. Dean Julian will officiate. Burial will be in Canadys, S.C. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and again from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services all at the Athens funeral home.
