Larkin "Buster" L. Groth, 63, Wausau, died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at his home.
He was born April 11, 1950 in Wausau, son of the late Jerome and Ivanette (Brown) Groth.
Buster spent his entire adult life serving his country. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during Vietnam as Staff Sergeant for 13 years, retiring after 13 years due to illness. Buster then went on to serve his country as a civil servant, working for the U.S. Defense Finance and Accounting Service as a Supervisor.
Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed photography, collecting many things, attending auctions and dabbling with computers.
Survivors include, one son, John (Cheryl) Groth, West Lafayette, IN; two grandchildren, Ellie and Jack; his ex-wife, Giau Thi "Ann" Groth, Texas; one sister, Pam (Tom) Buska, Mosinee; one brother, Lon (Jennifer) Groth, Wausau; and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau, with full military honors conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post No. 388, Wausau.
