Larae L. Denfeld

LaRae L. Denfeld 62, T900 Wisconsin River Road, Wausau, died Tuesday September 9, 2008 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born October 25, 1945 in Janesville, daughter of Beverly (King) Chellevold and the late Raymond Chellevold. On November 22, 1995 she married Brian Denfeld in Wausau. He survives. LaRae worked as a telephone operator at Ameritech and the Telephone Secretaries Answering Service. Some of LaRae's favorite pastimes included singing, traveling, listening to music, attending concerts and cheering on the Green Bay Packers but most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. LaRae also enjoyed playing all types of games, either board games or cards but she found her comfort zone on the phone, whether it was for work or just sharing the line with her many friends or family members. Survivors include her husband, Brian, Wausau; her mother, Beverly Chellevold, Texas, three sons, Eric (Arlene) Jacobson, Sun Prairie, Tom (fiancAC. Angie Lang) Jacobson, Ixonia and Loren (Tita) Jacobson, Bangkok, Thailand; two step-daughters, Dawn Lonsdorf, Schofield and Amy (Garett) Anderson, Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren, Thomas Jacobson, Ray Leo Jacobson, Justin Jacobson, Elizabeth Lonsdorf, Ethan Riemer, Israel Anderson and Zachariah Anderson; one sister, Beth (Scott) Arnold, Dallas, Texas; one brother, Alan (Pamela) Chellevold, Eagle; two nieces, Mellena Arnold and Erica Chellevold; one nephew, Joshua Arnold and many other relatives and friends. La Rae was preceded in death by her father, Raymond. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. John Meachen will officiate. Friends may call on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
