Kenneth “Ken” Rohmeyer passed away peacefully on July 17, 2024, with his family by his side. Ken was born in Wausau in 1949 to Joseph and Elizabeth (Rainville) Rohmeyer. In his later years Ken enjoyed finding and reconnecting with fellow friends he served with in Vietnam and attending their bi-annual reunions throughout the U.S. The past few years he was fortunate enough to spend time at the American Legion Camp with other veterans for a week.
Besides his wife Mary, Ken is survived by his two daughters, Carol (LeRoy) Fischer and Kimberly (Tim Grund) Rohmeyer, both of Merrill; step-children, Ryan Miskowiak of Alaska, Katie Miskowiak of Kansas, and Aaron (Melanie) Miskowiak of Wausau; five grandchildren, Dylan Sabatke, Ashton, Colton, Abby, and Danny Dalton; three step-grandchildren, MJ Lombard, Morgan Miskowiak, and Max Chrisman; sister, Gail (Dan) Dupuis; sisters-in-law, Nancy Rohmeyer, Nora (Ron) Settje, and Kathy (Gary) D’errico; brothers-in-law, Davis Prei, Mike (Debbie) Pecore, and Tim Pecore; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
