Kenneth T. Schultz
73, Wausau, died Sunday, May 5, 2002, after a battle with cancer under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
He was born February 21, 1929 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, son of the late Harry and Theodora (Hutskow) Schultz. On June 1, 1957, he married Rita Lenhard at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. She survives.
Kenneth retired in 1968 as a chief petty officer for the US Navy after 20 years of military service. He then was a data processor for Northcentral Technical College, Wausau for 21 years until retiring in 1990. Kenneth enjoyed working on his computer; fishing, crossword puzzles and taking care of his yard and garden.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Schultz, Wausau; two sons, Jeffrey (Barbara) Schultz, Marshfield and Randy (Oona) Schultz, New York City; one sister, Patricia Kelley, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Harry Schultz, Lutz, Florida and Eugene Schultz, McKeesport, Pennsylvania; two sisters-in-law, Delores Lang, Marathon and Marian (Jim) Braun, Wausau; two brothers-in-law, Clarence (Clara) Lenhard and George (Merceda) Lenhard all of Athens.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Janet, Sophia, Kathryn and Donna; one brother-in-law, Hubert Lang; mother and father-in-law, Otto and Ida Lenhard.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 12 noon Thursday, May 9, 2002 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the Church of St. Anne or the Humane Society.
