Kenneth "Ken" L. Seiler

Kenneth "Ken" L. Seiler, 82, Merrill died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at his home. He was born October 16, 1931 in Marshfield, son of the late Arnold and Elsa (Borth) Seiler. On April 25, 1959 he married Sylvia Knash in Boulder Junction. She survives. For more than 29 years Ken worked in the Special Delivery Department at the Wausau Post Office and was the owner/operator of the former Town & Country Bar in Wausau. Ken was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed the time he spent with his family at their cottage on Gilmore Lake and all the memories he made while hunting and fishing with his son Gary. Ken was always known to have his lawn in perfect condition, up north and at home. He and Sylvia enjoyed their summers together up north and their winters down south in Naples, Florida. Ken proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1952 until 1956. Survivors include his wife Sylvia Seiler, Merrill, his children, Terrie (Chris Corbin) Chittum, Mosinee and Gary (fiancAC.e Brenda Busterud) Seiler, Merrill, two grandchildren, Jake and Scott Chittum, Mosinee and sister Bonnie (Bob) Pils, Schofield. He is further survived by his mother -in- law, Norma Knash, Merrill, sisters- in -law, Penny Seiler, Schofield and Dorothy Secora (Jim Sanders), Green Bay and brothers- in-law Roger Knash (Pattie), Washington and Rodney Knash, Milwaukee. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and Dan Seiler and sisters Jeannie Zastrow and Arlene Sischo. Memorial services will be held at Noon, Saturday, January 18, 2014 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. Vicar Tammy Barthels will officiate.
