Kenneth E. Schmidt

Kenneth E. Schmidt 85, Wausau, died Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born November 26, 1925 in Wausau, son of the late Fred and Lucille (Lapinski) Schmidt. On July 11, 1946 he married MaryAnn Frank in Wausau. She preceded him in death on February 8, 2005. Kenneth served his country in the United States Army and worked many years at Wausau Paper Corporation. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and a skilled welder and fabricator who could build anything. Survivors include his daughters, Tammie (George) Havlovic, Irma and Connie (Stephen) Zick, Wausau; grandchildren, Tiffanie (Ben) Wright, Nicholas and Benjamin Lewitzke, Lisa (Doug) Sherfinski, Debbie Krautkramer, Ryan (Kate) Havlovic and Alisha (Larry) Dean; great grandchildren, Samantha, Casey, Jonathon, Travis, Samantha, Roman, Sabrina, Tanner, Jacob, Austin and Louis; daughter-in-law, Diane Schmidt, Wausau; brother, Jim (Phyllis) Schmidt, Fond du Lac and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his parents and wife, MaryAnn, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth, grandsons, Kenny and Shane, brothers, Joseph and Arnie and sisters, Marie and Helen. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2011 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. The Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Entombment will be in Garden of Eternal Rest, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
